ARRIVAL & ACCOMODATION

Participants are expected  to arrive on Sunday 8th July (between 6 pm and 9 pm) to the Building 8 of the Strahov Dormitory of the CTU in Prague (see x in map) where they will be accomodated during the School.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                                                                 

To arrive (from the airport or from one of the international train stations) by City Public Transport System (MHD) take

·         Bus # 143, 217 from Metro A End Station „Dejvicka“ (see x in map). Get out on bus stop „Koleje Strahov“.

·         Bus # 217 from Metro B Station Andel. Get our on bus stop „Koleje Strahov“.

SCHOOL VENUE

The School will take place at the Masarykova Hall of the CTU in Prague (see X in map) which is located in the district Dejvice, Prague 6, near the End Station "Dejvicka" of Metro A.

 

Participants are expected to be before 9 am on Monday 9th. From Strahov Dormitory by City Public Transport (MHD) take bus # 143 or # 217 in direction to „Dejvicka“. Get out in the (last) stop „Dejvicka“.

SCHOOL PROGRAM

BOARD (MEALS)

Participants have their 3 daily meals starting from Monday 9th as follows:

·         Breakfast (between 7 and 8 am) at Strahov Menza Building located within the area of Strahov Dormitory

·         Lunch and Dinner at Studentska Menza located in Dejvice near Masarykova Hall

REGISTRATION

Registration will be at:

·        Strahov Dormitory Building 8 on Sunday 8th between 6 pm and 9 pm

·        Masarykova Hall on Monday 9th between 8 am and 9 am

 

You will receive the School Badge, Printed Program, tickets for your meals and Public City Transport Ticket valid for all days during the School.

DEPARTURE

Departure is expected during Thursday 19th July.

SHORT TALK PRESENTATIONS

Participants giving a Short Student Talk are given up to 10 minutes (including eventual discussion and questions). Recommended presentation length is about 5 slides. Exact day and hour will be individually announced and also posted in the Program Schedule (see above).

Please deliver your presentation file (recommended formats: powerpoint, PDF) either:

  • before your arrival (by Friday 6th July) in electronic form attached by email to 4summerschool@utef.cvut.cz In the mail subject state “Talk presentation file”
  • to Vlastimil Kral (see below Members of the Local Organizing Committee) if possible one day before your talk

PROCEEDINGS

Participants giving a Short Student Talk or Poster are eligible to have a 2–page short paper included in the School Proceedings which will be published in the American Institute of Physics (AIP) and will be reviewed by referees.

 

Please deliver your paper either

  • before your arrival (by Friday 6th July) in electronic form attached by email to 4summerschool@utef.cvut.cz In the mail subject state “Paper file”
  • or (at latest) during registration - upon your arrival in electronic form and one printed copy to Vlastimil Kral (see below Members of the Local Organizing Committee)

 

We ask students to deliver their papers as early as possible in order to have the papers reviewed by the corresponding Session Chairs during the School. Also to allow for eventual corrections/discussions to be done during the School.
