Neutron scattering techniques in molecular biology
Several applications of neutron diffraction and spectroscopy to problems in molecular biology are
discussed:
-How to determine protein structures and in particular the positions of the protein-hydrogens, in
comparison with x-rays
- molecular assemblies studied by low angle neutron scattering such as ribosomes , chaperons or
Ca-binding proteins.
- molecular dynamics of proteins investigated by neutron spectroscopy and computer simulations.
