New user

When the new user account is created a temporary password is generated and sent to the user's backup email address. The validity of this password is one week. During this period the user is required to set a new password. To change your password see chapter Password expiration.

Password expiration

Any password change performed by the user sets the new password validity for one year. Three weeks before the password expires the user starts receiving warning emails with instructions. The passwords change can be done either by logging on core.utef.cvut.cz via ssh and performing the passwd command, or via the web interface at: https://core.utef.cvut.cz/password_change.php. To change the password via the web interface, always use the link above on this page, never use a link located in the body of any automatically generated email.
