Institute of Experimental Physics, Slovak Academy of Science, Košice, Slovakia
Abstract: The presentation will describe the creation of the light background detector AMON project and his connection with the experiment JEM-EUSO. Shortly will be described what is airglow radiation and its production variability dependence on the geographic location and time. Next, we will discuss way to measure background light using a network of ground stations. In more details will be presented the construction of the detector AMON V1.0.
Seminar takes place on Wednesday, February 1st 2017 at 2:00 PM
