Introduction of the NCTS/LRM at the University of Würzburg

Abstract:
This talk presents the “Project Group nanoCT Systems” (NCTS) of the Fraunhofer Institute of Integrated Circuits (IIS) as well as the “chair of X-ray microscopy” (LRM) of the University of Würzburg.
In the first part of the talk an overview from the Fraunhofer Society to the NCTS/LRM is given and how the NCTS/LRM is nested within the Fraunhofer Society. Finally the NCTS/LRM itself with its fields of work and capabilities are described. Beside SAXS the main focus is computed tomography, especially μ and nano CT. In the context of materials characterization developments and research topics in the areas of instrumentation, reconstruction and services are illustrated.
