JINR-IEAP Common Project: Search for the Associated Production of a Higgs Boson and a Top Quark Pair in Multilepton Final States in pp Collisions at √s = 13 TeV with the ATLAS Detector – Improving the Sensitivity with MVA and New Discriminant Variables

Abstract: The measurement of the ttH coupling is at the forefront of research in particle physics as it can test the Standard Model of particle physics. The ttH coupling is exceptional since the Higgs boson coupling is proportional to the fermion mass. We propose to join forces and combine the expertise in the ttH searches with data taken in LHC Run-1 and initial Run-2 at IEAP CTU in Prague with the experience in multuvariant analysis techniques including the development and testing of new discriminant variables. For the success of the joined effort we propose to establish an exchange visits of scientists between Prague and Dubna.
Seminar takes place on Tuesday, June 20th 2017 at 2:00 PM
in the IEAP meeting room, Praha 2 ‐ Albertov, Horská 3a/22.
