Test of Medipix Detector with UCN converter coating

New application for UCN require detectors with high spatial resolution. Medipix2 and its successors are silicon detectors with a pixel size of 55 mum. Since the silicon detector cannot detect UCN directly, a thin converter layer of 6LiF or 10B is deposited onto detector surface. Converter material captures UCN and produces pair of heavy charged particles which are detected by pixel detector. In this test we want to measure the resolution dependent on conversion layer type and thickness.
