Abstract
Standardization is an essential and effective tool for the transfer of information between manufacturers (processors in science and development, regulatory authorities, …) and also in the last step towards a consumer. The aim of this process is to provide reproducibility of production techniques, unification of terminology and finally also health protection and decrease of risks during usage of products by consumers. In this contribution I will describe the standardization process in the field of nanotechnology.
