Abstract

Physics of ultra-relativistic heavy ion collisions aims to study properties of the hot and dense strongly interacting matter under extreme conditions. In the talk i will summarize recent results from experiments done at RHIC (Relativistic heavy Ion Collider) and the LHC (Large Hadron Collider). The main concern will be related to the study of the produced medium with high pT probes such as jets. Further we will briefly mention recent achievements in the study of collective phenomena.
