IWORID 2018
On June 24th the 5 day International Workshop on Radiation Imaging Detectors – or IWORID – has taken place in Sundsvall, Sweden. As the name suggests the main purpose of the conference is to discuss the current research and development in the field of radiation imaging detectors. The workshop is annually packed with international representatives of various research teams and organizations. This year’s workshop has been attended by 6 members of IEAP, who all contributed to the conference.
The contributions were:
Dr. Stanislav Pospíšil – “A look back on development of Medipix/Timepix detectors for noiseless tracking of neutrons and charged particles”; Invited talk
Jan Žemlička: “Absorption grating based X-ray phase contrast CT using Timepix detector”; poster which won Best Poster Award
Mária Špavorová: “Prototype of detector of reactor antineutrinos for reactor monitoring”; poster
Salman Hasn: “Implementation of large area CdTe Hybrid Pixel detector for purpose of X-ray spectroscopic imaging”; poster
Michal Holík: “A synchronization and data acquisition system for silicon detectors”; poster
