IWORID 2019

Jul. 7th, 2019 - Jul. 12th, 2019

On July 7th the 5 day International Workshop on Radiation Imaging Detectors – or IWORID – took place in Kolympari, Greece. The workshop is annually packed with international representatives of various research teams and organizations. This year’s workshop has been attended by 11 members of IEAP, who contributed to the conference.

The contributions were:

Catalina Ramirez - Study of noisy pixel appearance and thermal neutron fluxes with Timepix3 in ATLAS

Benedikt Bergmann - Detector response and performance of a 500 µm thick GaAs attached to Timepix3 in relativistic particle beams;

Salman Hasn - X-ray Imaging of Metal Whiskers Using Large Area Photon Counting Detectors Timepix;

Petr Burian - Ethernet Embedded Readout Interface for Timepix2 - Katherine readout for Timepix2;

Jan Zemlicka - Evaluation of scan strategies for small animal in-vivo micro-CT;

Maria Slavickova - S3 - detector of reactor antineutrinos;

Tomas Slavicek - SiC based charged particle strip spectrometer with neutron detection capability;

Peter Rubovic - Preliminary characterization of a pixelated CZT gamma ray spectrometer;

Yessid Mora - Advanced FPGA-Based Readout Electronics for Strip Detectors;

Michael Holik - Study of neutron-rich isotopes near the neutron N=152 shell closure using Timepix type detectors integrated in the MASHA experiment;
