Predicting low-energy values of lepton number violating parameters (from mobility to Chile)

Adam Smetana

IEAP, CTU in Prague

Abstract:

Fruits of my mobility to Chile will be presented. Three projects initiated during the internship are: 1) Graviton induced dynamical generation of fermion masses, 2) Is spontaneous BRST symmetry breaking a concept useful to understand QCD confinement?, and 3) Predicting low-energy values of lepton number violating parameters. The last project is currently the most elaborated and the essential part of the seminar will be dedicated to its presentation. We have derived one-loop corrections to 15 low-energy lepton number violating effective parameters. We have numerically searched for values of these parameters and renormalization scale for which the corrections vanish. These values exhibit mere one-parametric freedom and are ready to be applied to the determination of the neutrinoless double beta decay amplitude.

Seminar takes place on Tuesday, June 13th 2023 at 2:00 PM
in the IEAP meeting room, Praha 1, Husova 240/5.
